how paddleport works

Scan the QR code at the PaddlePort or book online. Choose your kayak, select your rental time, complete your reservation, and sign the required waiver.

Renting now? Rental times cannot be prorated. If you're booking at the PaddlePort, select the available start time closest to the current time.

Your access PIN is only active during the rental period you select, so be sure to choose enough time to enjoy your trip and return your equipment before your reservation ends.

Once your reservation begins, use the PIN provided with your booking to unlock your kayak and access the GearVault containing your paddle and life jacket.

Your PIN will only work during your reserved rental period. There is no grace period before or after your reservation, so keep your PIN and rental end time handy while you're on the water.

Choose the appropriate life jacket and paddle from the GearVault, unlock your kayak, and follow the posted instructions for securing the locks before you leave.

Always wear your life jacket while on the water.

Before launching, check current weather and water conditions. Conditions can change quickly, and each renter is responsible for determining whether conditions are appropriate for their experience and ability.

Return your kayak to the same location before your reserved rental period ends. Place your paddle and life jacket back inside the GearVault, secure your kayak, and make sure all locks are properly closed and locked. 

Your access PIN automatically expires when your reserved rental period ends, and unfortunately, the system does not provide a grace period.

If your PIN has expired before you have finished returning and securing your equipment, you will need to reserve an additional hour to receive access and properly secure everything.

Please plan your return accordingly. Renters are responsible for all equipment until it has been properly returned and secured. Any equipment left unsecured remains the renter's responsibility.
