PaddlePort is a convenient, self-service way to rent a kayak and get on the water without waiting at a traditional rental counter.
Simply reserve your kayak online, receive your access PIN, and head to the PaddlePort. Your rental includes a kayak, paddle, and life jacket. Paddles and life jackets are stored inside the GearVault at the PaddlePort.
When you're finished, return your kayak and equipment to the same location, secure everything, and you're all set.
Yes. All rentals require an online reservation.
You can reserve in advance or book from your phone when you arrive at a PaddlePort, subject to equipment availability.
Absolutely—if equipment is available.
If you're already at the PaddlePort and want to get on the water right away, select the available rental start time closest to the current time.
Rental times cannot be prorated, so your rental period will begin at the time selected during booking.
After completing your reservation, you'll receive the PIN needed to unlock your assigned kayak and access the GearVault.
Your PIN is active only during your selected rental period.
There is no grace period before or after your reservation. Make sure you return to the PaddlePort with enough time to put away your paddle and life jacket and securely lock your kayak and the GearVault before your rental time expires.
If your rental period has ended, your PIN will no longer work.
If you are late and haven't returned your equipment before the PIN expires, you will need to reserve an additional hour to regain access and properly secure everything.
You remain responsible for the kayak and all rental equipment until everything has been properly returned and secured.
Yes. Life jackets are required by law and must be worn at all times.
Life jackets are provided with every rental and can be found inside the GearVault.
You don't need to be an experienced kayaker, but you should be comfortable around water and capable of safely operating the equipment you rent.
Always check current weather and water conditions before launching and throughout your rental. Conditions can change quickly, and each renter is responsible for deciding whether conditions are safe and appropriate for their experience and ability. All PaddlePort equipment is rented and used at the renter's own risk.
